What are Nafcon-A eye drops?

Nafcon-A is an eye drop containing two active ingredients: naphazoline, to reduce eye redness and congestion, and pheniramine, an antihistamine that relieves itching and tearing. It is used to treat eye redness, allergies, itching, and excessive tearing.

How to use the drops?

Instill 1 to 2 drops in each eye as needed, up to 4 times a day. If you wear contact lenses, remove them and wait at least 10 minutes before reinserting them.

Can it be used for a long time?

It is not recommended to use it for more than 3 to 5 consecutive days, as prolonged use may cause rebound redness (redness returning worse after stopping) or dry eyes.

When should it not be used?

It should not be used in cases of glaucoma, high blood pressure, or heart disease (after consulting a doctor), or in young children except on medical advice.

Can it be used with other eye drops?

Yes, but there should be a 5-10 minute interval between each type of eye drop. If the doctor prescribes another type of eye drop (such as an antibiotic or cortisone), the order of use should be specified.
