3. What is the usual dosage for adults and children?
A3: Adults and children over 12 years: Usually 5 ml (one teaspoon) three times daily. Children (6-12 years): 2.5 ml three times daily. Younger children: A doctor must be consulted to determine the dosage.
4. When should the medication be stopped?
A4: It should be stopped and a doctor consulted if the cough persists for more than 7 days, or if it is accompanied by fever or a rash. It should not be taken immediately before bedtime.
