What is Curam 1 gram and what is it used for?
Curam contains two active ingredients: Amoxicillin, an antibiotic from the penicillin family, and Clavulanic Acid, which helps fight bacteria that produce antibiotic-resistant enzymes. It is used to treat bacterial infections such as throat infections, sinusitis, bronchial infections, urinary tract infections, and dental infections.
How should Curam 1 gram be used correctly?
Usually, one tablet is taken every 12 hours after meals, and it is important to complete the full course even if symptoms improve.
What are the common side effects?
Some side effects may appear such as mild diarrhea, nausea, and stomach pain.
Can Curam be used with other medications?
It is recommended to inform the doctor about all medications being used because Augmentin may interact with blood thinners (Warfarin), some gout medications (Allopurinol), or oral contraceptives (it may slightly reduce their effectiveness).
When is Curam not recommended?
It should not be used in the following cases: previous allergy to penicillins or cephalosporins, previous liver problems due to Augmentin, without a prescription, or to relieve viral colds since it is only an antibiotic.
